NOTES OF THE WINEMAKER
PIWI are grape varieties resistant to fungal diseases. They are the result of constant research
of man and of a selection, which has been going on for several decades, of GMO-free crossings between
Vitis Vinifera (wine varieties) and Virginia creeper (disease resistant
fungi), admitted to all effects for the production of quality wines. The advantage
is the minimum number of treatments carried out and the consequent environmental impact
for their cultivation.
GRAPES: Cabernet Cortis, Merlot Khorus and Prior

CURIOSITY
The label of "Konti-ki" is "narrative": we invite you to open it and read all the stages of Pizzolato's journey into the world of PIWI! The Kon-Tiki is the raft used by the Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl in his expedition in 1947 across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the islands of Polynesia, the boat was named after an ancient Inca name for the rain god (Kon).
